The government is considering easing three important measures in the Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP), which will be revealed soon.

Face masks, scanning of the MySejahtera application when entering premises, and Covid-19 detection tests are among the three critical steps, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

At the Ministry of Health (MoH), he noted, issues were still being evaluated and considered.

He stated that he will disclose excellent news later, after they (the SOP) have relaxed, and that the public would be thrilled. Perhaps they’ll think of it in terms of (facial) masks, and the Ministry of Health will weigh the benefits and drawbacks.

In the case of MySejahtera, whether or not to scan at any location, whether or not to perform PCR or RTK Antigen tests upon return, According to PM, the Ministry of Health is discussing these issues.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri stated that if the SOP is loosened too far, the administration will consider the public’s objections.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin was quoted in the media yesterday as suggesting that additional modification of the SOP would be revealed in the coming weeks.
