The Health Ministry announced 31,199 new Covid-19 cases Wednesday (23 February 2022), raising the total number of infections to 3,305,157.
The new infections yesterday set a new high since tracking began on January 25, 2020. The previous high was 28,825 instances on February 19, 2022.
Health officials reportedly reported 55 new deaths yesterday, bringing the total death toll to 32,488. The most recent deaths are the most since December 21 of last year, when 57 people died.
