MetMalaysia issued a warning for Typhoon Nesat.
Typhoon Nesat, which is roughly 1,328 kilometres (km) northwest of Kudat, Sabah, has prompted a warning from the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
MetMalaysia said in a statement today that the typhoon was stationed roughly 380 kilometres east of Hainan, China.
According to observations made at am, the agency also stated that the typhoon was travelling west-southwest at a pace of 15 km/h and might reach a top speed of 139 km/h.
Strong winds and rough seas may result from this situation over the waters around the South China Sea, it was noted.
