2023 long weekend holiday
2022 will end in 3 months, making 2023 fewer than 100 days away. Here are the details for the long weekend holiday in 2023 in case you’re travelling.
There are seven extended weekends in 2023. A three-day holiday is formed when a public holiday falls on a Friday or a Monday and includes two days off on the weekends and Sundays. When a public holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday will receive an additional day off, making a total of three more days off.
The holiday law in Malaysia states that if a public holiday falls on a Saturday, no compensatory leave is allowed, but if it falls on a Sunday, compensatory leave is allowed on Monday (not applicable to Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu).
