According to LHDN website, taxpayers will receive their refunds as early as 30 days after filing their personal income tax forms. This measure is only available to those taxpayers who file PCB and CP500 returns.
If you file your personal income tax form electronically through e-Filling, you can receive your refund within 30 working days of submitting the form. For taxpayers who submit their personal tax returns by post or manually, they will receive their refund within 90 working days.
If a taxpayer is late in receiving their tax refund, they can check with their nearest Inland Revenue Office.
In addition to using existing cheques, vouchers, electronic transfers and wire transfers, taxpayers can also choose to obtain their refund through DuitNow.
