According to the notice issued by LHDN, people can apply for BKM assistance at the nearest counter during weekends. If you do not know how to apply for BKM assistance online, you can bring the relevant documents to the nearest counter.
Counter in Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor will open on January 7 and 8, and January 28 and 29 to help people apply for BKM assistance. Other state and territory tax offices will open counters on January 8 and 9, and January 29 and 30.
Please note! Counter in West Malaysia is open from 8am to 4:30pm, while the counter in Sabah and Sarawak open from 8am to 3:30pm only.
Although the LHDN office counters are open to accept applications for BKM assistance, people are still urged to apply through the BKM website. https://bkm.hasil.gov.my/
BKM is a government assistance scheme for families with a monthly income of up to RM5,000 and single persons with a monthly income of up to RM2,500.
If you received BPR, BKC or GKP assistance from the government last year, then you do not need to apply or update your details again to be automatically included in the BKM assistance list. If your application for assistance last year was unsuccessful, you will also be automatically included in the BKM assistance list.
