Lazada launches “Lazada4Youth” to help MARA students start their own businesses! Another workshop, another commission, another free advertisment!

15/04/2022

To encourage digital entrepreneurship among young people, Lazada announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Technology of Mara (UITM, commonly known as MARA University) to launch a new initiative: Lazada4Youth!

This Lazada4Youth entrepreneurship campaign will provide MARA students who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs with the funds to register as sellers or launch their digital stores!

Lazada says that students can start selling on the Lazada platform as soon as they have participated in the workshop! Meanwhile, Lazada will also provide a more favourable commission rate for MARA students who have participated in the workshop, as well as RM150 in advertising funds, so that these young entrepreneurs can advertise their products!

Lazada said that they will start conducting Lazada4Youth workshops at various campuses of Mara Craft University and will rotate in a round-robin fashion throughout the Mara Craft University campuses in Malaysia.

It is worth mentioning that although the name of the workshop is Lazada4Youth, the event is actually only open to MARA students and requires an email from Universiti Teknologi MARA in order to register!
