Latest News! Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will get an extra holiday on December 3!

Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will enjoy a special holiday on Friday, December 3, 2021, according to a message from Federal Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan. This is to celebrate the Kuala Lumpur City Football Team winning the 100th Malaysia Cup in the Malaysia Cup.

KL City FC defeated rivals Johor JDT 2-0 in the Malaysia Cup final on November 30 to win the Malaysia Cup after a 30-year absence.

The Ministry of Federal Territories has invoked Section 9(2) of the Public Holidays Act 1951 to grant special holidays. This means that people in the Federal Territory are entitled to three consecutive holidays, i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Government departments, schools and banks in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan will have a day off on December 3.
