KWSP will only announce the results of special withdrawal applications on April 9, and members of the public are urged not to believe the emails they receive.
According to a news release from the Employees Provident Fund Board (KWSP), unscrupulous individuals have sent emails to members using the KWSP’s name and attaching a link to check on the EPF withdrawal scheme.
In the fake email, the member is congratulated on the successful withdrawal application and asked to visit the attached link for more details.
The Provident Fund Schemes Authority urges members of the public not to click on the link in the email as it may lead to leakage of members’ information and loss of money. Members who receive any emails claiming to be from the EPF Board can call the EPF Board’s hotline at 03-89226000 for more details.
The EPF Board’s Special Withdrawal Scheme is open for application from April 1 to April 30 and members can check the results of their applications from April 9 onwards. Members can receive their withdrawals as early as April 20.
