According to an announcement from the Employees Provident Fund Board (KWSP), members can apply for special withdrawal scheme through online from 1st April. Applications can be made at https://pengeluarankhas.kwsp.gov.my/ (currently unavailable).
KWSP is urging members to ensure that their phone numbers are registered in the KWSP system because when they apply for a withdrawal, the system will send them a mobile phone message with a one-time verification code (OTP) that they will need to enter in order to make a withdrawal request.
Members are also encouraged to check their EPF deposit status first so that they are aware of the amount they can withdraw and to avoid any shortage of funds when making a withdrawal request. Members are required to keep at least RM100 in their EPF account to keep it active.
