Go and watch the birds! Visiting the KL Bird Park, which was founded in 1991, on weekends and holidays will give you unexpected fun.
Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is located in the tranquil and beautiful Kuala Lumpur Lakeside Park, only 10 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur city center. The 20.9-acre bird park gathers more than 200 different species of birds from local and foreign countries, with a total population of more than 3,000 birds. It is one of the largest covered open bird parks in the world.
These birds are arranged to live in an environment based on their natural habitat. Here you can see Sarawak hornbills, some very rare forest birds and ferocious carnivorous birds.
KL Bird Park is divided into 4 zones. Zone 1 and Zone 2 are free-flying zones for birds. Birds in these two zones can fly freely in large nets; Zone 3 is the hornbill park and Zone 4 is the large bird open area.
The most special thing about KL Bird Park is the free flight concept. Birds can fly freely inside, making people feel like walking into a huge birdcage. The natural and beautiful environment gives people an exciting bird watching experience.
You can start from the trail and watch birds of different postures and sizes shuttle between the trees and cross the streams, showing off their heroic figures. Occasionally, you will also find pigeons and egrets whistling toward the sky. Whenever it’s feeding time, birds of all species will gather in groups in the feeding area, waiting for visitors and breeders to feed them.
When you walk in the park, you can also admire the sapphire blue tail feathers of the Indian peacock, which is a full 5 feet long. In addition, you can also experience the harmonious coexistence between humans and birds next to the flamingo pond. You will also see the big flamingo feeding the small flamingo, and socializing with the pelican and other water birds.
If you want to see the exotic hornbills, blue magpies and purple pheasants, you can go to the Tropical Hornbill Park. In addition, you can also visit the waterfall bird cage and admire the endangered South American storks standing on the 30-foot-high man-made waterfall.
In addition to visiting various birds, the Bird Park also has a stage for you to watch wonderful bird performances, such as parrot talking, ventriloquism performances, blindfolded identification, etc., which will definitely entertain you and your family at KL Bird Park Have fun all day long!
