JPJ has announced an 80% discount on traffic tickets, which can be paid online!
According to the Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ), in line with the 100 days of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri administration, the government will launch a series of activities for the 100 days of the Malaysian family, among which JPJ will offer up to 80% discount on traffic tickets.
You can choose to pay your traffic tickets at the JPJ counter at KLCC, or through the JPJ branch counter, Kiosk or official website. The offer is valid from December 9 to 12, 2021.
If you receive a traffic ticket issued by the Federal District and Putrajaya, you are entitled to 80% discount, while for other state traffic tickets, you are entitled to 70% discount.
Tickets that do not receive a discount include 2021 crash tickets, non-fine tickets that must be tried in court, tickets that go to court, Raleigh tickets, 2021 dangerous crossing/cutting tickets, 2021 emergency lane abuse tickets, 2021 red light tickets, 2021 two-lane crossing tickets, and illegal exhaust modification tickets.
To pay your JPJ traffic tickets online, you can visit https://public.jpj.gov.my. Don’t have an account with the JPJ mySIKAP online system yet? You can sign up for one right now. After registering for the JPJ mySIKAP online system, you can click on the Kesalahan & Penalti section to check if you have any outstanding traffic tickets. You can also check for your loved ones directly and then help them pay their traffic tickets.
How to use JPJ mySIKAP online system to pay traffic tickets
Step 1: Browse https://public.jpj.gov.my/public/login.zul and select Daftar / Log Masuk Kali Pertama (MyKad).
Step 2: Enter your ID number, cell phone number, email address and security verification code and click on Teruskan.
Step 3: Complete the registration process for your account and check your email. You will receive a temporary password by email.
Step 4: Login to mySIKAP with the temporary password and then change the password.
Step 5: Re-login to your mySIKAP account.
Step 6: Select Kesalahan & Penalti.
Step 7: Choose to search by your own ID number, someone else’s ID number, license plate number, or the serial number of the ticket.
Step 8: Click Cari and the system will show you if you have a delinquent JPJ traffic ticket.
Step 9: If you have a delinquent JPJ ticket, you can follow the instructions to complete the payment process.
