JPJ will adjust the opening hours of counters during Ramadan!

According to the news issued by the Land Transport Department (JPJ), the opening hours of counters will be adjusted during Ramadan. If you are planning to visit JPJ in the near future to renew your driver’s license, road tax, purchase a license plate number, or check your vehicle information, you should pay special attention.

All domestic JPJ branches will be open from 8am to 4pm during Ramadan. JPJ branches in Johor, Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan are open on Thursdays from 8am to 3pm.

It is worth noting that the JPJ counter at UTC is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. UTC will be closed for 2 hours and 30 minutes at noon, and UTC in West Malaysia will be closed from 12:14 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. daily. Sarawak UTC will have a lunch break from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The lunch break at Sabah UTC is from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In addition, JPJ plans to set up 100 Kiosks at various locations nationwide by the end of this year, and the establishment of Kioks will reduce the waiting time for people at JPJ counters.

JPJ Kiosks can provide dew renewal and printing services, VOC printing services, traffic ticket payment, etc. Kiosks can also be used to check auto insurance information, check car information, check driver’s license information, etc.

According to users, many JPJ Kiosks are malfunctioning and unusable, and people urge JPJ to ensure that the launched Kiosks can be used properly.
