We have heard the word “mummy” a lot, but did you know that “mermaid mummies” also exist in the world? The 286-year-old “mermaid mummy” will undergo a tomography scan!

This mermaid mummy recently used scientific means to prove its authenticity and see what kind of creature it really is. As seen in the picture, “it” has a clear facial outline, with sharp teeth, hands, and the lower half of the body has a fishtail look. Scientists will study it, while some folklore experts believe that this mummy should only be artificially produced for profit, not the real “mermaid “.

Legend has it that a mermaid with a human face was captured in the Pacific Ocean.

According to Japanese media reports, a 30 cm long “mermaid with a human face” was captured in the Pacific Ocean in Japan between 1736 and 1741 during the Genbun period of the Edo Period, and it is said that the upper half of the mermaid had a human face with sharp teeth and hands, and the lower half had a fish tail.

According to temple records, the mummy is nearly 300 years old, and the document says “a mermaid was caught in a fisherman’s net during the Yuan Dynasty.”

Local biologists, folklorists, and temple abbots have been very curious about what kind of creature it is, so recently we have joined forces to plan a study. The mummy was exposed by the Yuanzhu Institute, and a computer tomography scan was conducted on February 4. The preliminary report is expected to be released in mid-March. Researchers and scientists hope to make new discoveries through this study and bring good omens for the global epidemic.

The investigation report will be released in September.

The personnel involved in the study are excited because they have the opportunity to do tomography for the mermaid. They hope that through the analysis and genetics, they can find out the biological composition of the mummy. It is reported that the research report is expected to have more complete information published in September.
