19/11/2020

Every time you go to a Japanese restaurant, what do you have to order? Some people are sashimi; some are nigiri sushi; others like tempura, and occasionally a Japanese Croquette with crispy outside and soft inside is also very good!

In fact, Japanese Croquette is not difficult to make. Just prepare a few ingredients and add a few simple steps, and you can restore the croquette of the Japanese food store, and even make it into a healthy version! Let’s see what we should prepare.

▼ Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes
  • 1/4 onion
  • Corn kernels
  • Carrots
  • 1 sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Bread crumbs

▼ Steps:

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut them into pieces, steam them, and then puree them.
  2. Cut the onion, carrot, and sausage into small cubes and mix them with the mashed potatoes later.
  3. Sauté the onions, carrots, sausage, and corn kernels in a pan with some cooking oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the sautéed ingredients into the mashed potatoes, mix well, and divide into half palm-sized pieces (any shape is fine, as long as you’re happy!).
  5. Coat the kneaded croquette with cornstarch, then evenly dip in the egg liquid, and finally coat with a layer of bread crumbs.
  6. Put the croquettes in the air fryer and bake at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes.

*If you don’t have an air fryer, you can deep fry the croquette until golden brown; if you don’t want to deep fry it, you can also choose to bake it in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Squeeze your favorite sauce on top of the croquettes after they’re cooked, and you’ve got a perfect Japanese croquettes! Is it very simple?
