Thunderstorms and strong winds are expected until October 15th.

Many states across the country will see thunderstorms and severe winds that are predicted to linger until October 15.

Malaysia will experience strong westerly winds, particularly in Sarawak, according to research from the Malaysian Weather Research and Prediction Model (MET-WRF), the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), and the Global Prediction System (GFS). Sabah’s northern, southern, and northern regions are all included.

From October 12 to October 14, 2022, Labuan, northern Sarawak, and northern Sabah will see severe winds and thunderstorms. From October 13 to October 15, 2022, the northern regions of the peninsula will also experience these conditions.

Strong gusts and thunderstorms are predicted for Sabah and Sarawak, according to the Meteorology Department’s yellow warning. The general population is asked to exercise caution because this event can occur both on land and at water.

In order to prevent impeding their trip, the general public is advised to drive cautiously during thunderstorms and try to avoid driving on roads that frequently accumulate water. It is also advised that residents of locations prone to flooding and lightning always heed the weather warnings issued by the Meteorology Department.
