iPhone users can now connect to 5G network!

It is believed that iPhone users pushed the iOS 16.2 upgrade on December 14, and users can now use the 5G network after upgrading the system. This year marks one year that iPhone users in Malaysia have been on the 5G network, and they can finally use it.

If you haven’t yet received the iOS 16.2 update, go to Settings on your iPhone, then General, then Software Update. After finishing the upgrade, you will be able to use the 5G network.

To use the 5G network, you must first ensure that your iPhone is updated to iOS 16.2 and that you are within the 5G network’s coverage area. All major cities in Malaysia currently have 5G network coverage. 5G covers 97% of the population in Kuala Lumpur, 84% in Selangor, and 38.7% in Johor.

In addition, you must sign up in a telecommunications plan that supports 5G networks. At this time, only Digi Postpaid packages above 90 can access the 5G network. U Mobile Postpaid 38, 68, and 98, as well as Prepaid U25, Prepaid U35, and U40, can connect to a 5G network. Celcom, Yes, and Unifi are also limited to specific plans in order to use a 5G network.
