iPhone 14 Pro series say goodbye to bangs screen! Does the new hole punch design become the main selling point?

29/08/2022

The month of September is fast approaching and Apple’s annual new product launch is upon us. According to foreign media reports, Apple has officially sent out invitations and confirmed that it will hold a new conference on September 8 at 1am Beijing time, where it will release a series of hardware products such as the iPhone 14 series and Apple Watch Series 8.

As the event gets closer and closer, news about the iPhone 14 series is getting more and more powerful on the Internet, and many renders of the suspected iPhone 14 Pro front panel have appeared on social media. These renders all point to one thing: the iPhone 14 Pro will ditch the existing “bangs” design in favor of a long bar with a perforated screen.

At the same time, tipsters have also revealed photos of suspected iPhone 14 Pro Max screenshots that show the “5G” iPhone 14 Pro Max and the “4G” iPhone 13 Pro Max. All signs indicate that Apple seems to be increasing the status bar area to accommodate the new long bar + hole punch screen design. The iPhone 14 Pro Max also has a different status bar arrangement, with the network signal, Wi-Fi and battery indicators repositioned slightly lower and to the right.

In addition, MacRumors reports that the standard iPhone 14 model is expected to retain the same notch as the iPhone 13 series, with the exclamation point being one of the main selling points of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and is expected to be equipped with an A16 chip, display-ready screen, 48-megapixel wide-angle lens, and more.

In addition, various iPhone 14 Pro models have been revealed together, which reveal blue and purple styles, and even the usual gold, graphite gray and silver colors. Previously, there was also news that purple and blue were the exclusive colors for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

It is understood that the theme of Apple’s new launch event is “Far Out” and the invitation is arranged with the Apple logo in a sky full of stardust, which seems to be a hint that the new generation models will have stronger telephoto capabilities.
