Telecom companies will introduced a 30Mbps/RM69 broadband package in March.

The government will collaborate with telecommunications companies to launch the fixed-line broadband solidarity package in March, according to a message issued by the Minister of Digital Communications, Fami. This package will be tailored specifically for B40 low-income groups, veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities.

Users can enjoy 30Mbps unlimited traffic for RM69 per month with the fixed-line broadband unity package (Pakej Perpaduan Jalur Lebar Tetap), but they must sign a 24-month contract.

This package is approximately 20% less expensive than the previous package. The current 30Mbps package is RM89, whereas this package is only RM69. It will save RM480 in two years.

Fixed line broadband solidarity packages will be launched by TM, CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, YTL, TIME, and Astro.
