Yesterday, 28 people died in Malaysia, including seven who were brought in dead. This puts the total number of people who have died to 35,127.

According to Dr. Noor Hisham, 5,495 of the 10,002 daily cases reported on April 4 are from Category 1, 4,418 from Category 2, 30 from Category 3, 33 from Category 4, and 26 from Category 5.

While there were no new clusters reported yesterday, he did say that 6,767 clusters had ended and 173 were still active. On April 1, Malaysia began its shift to the endemic phase, removing many of the earlier limitations. Quarantine-free international borders have reopened, but testing is still required for the vast majority of inbound travellers.
