In Malaysia, over 30% of children are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Over 30% of children are fully vaccinated.

As of yesterday, 1,058,626 children aged five to eleven years, or 29.8% of Malaysia’s population, had finished their vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids).

According to the CovidNOW website, 1,644,027 children in the same age range have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 46.3 percent.

A total of 2,904,772 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have finished the immunisation, accounting for 93.4 percent of the country’s population, while 3,002,404 have gotten at least one dose, accounting for 96.5 percent of the population.

In the adult population, 16,064,239 people, or 68.3%, have received the booster shot, whereas 22,971,113 people, or 97.6%, have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination and 23,246,597 people, or 98.8%, have received at least one dose.

The Covid-19 vaccine was provided in a total of 23,148 doses yesterday, with 9,511 first doses, 12,441 second doses, and 1,196 booster doses, increasing the total number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,678,279.

According to the Health Ministry’s GitHub portal, three people died from Covid-19 yesterday, with two cases in Johor and one in Selangor.
