Approximately 21% of children are fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, 761,309 children aged five to eleven have been fully vaccinated under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids), accounting for 21.4 percent of the population.
According to the CovidNow website, 1,504,066 children in the same age range have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 42.3 percent.
A total of 2,889,620 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have finished the immunisation, accounting for 92.9 percent of those in this age range in the country, while 2,988,492 adolescents (96.1 percent) have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Adults have gotten the booster injection in a total of 16,020,386 people, or 68.1 percent of the population, while 22,965,472 people, or 97.6%, have finished the vaccine and 23,242,030 people, or 98.8%, have received at least one dose.
Yesterday, a total of 34,376 vaccine doses were provided, including 6,906 first-dose doses, 22,782 second-dose doses, and 4,688 booster doses, increasing the total number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,158,087.
Meanwhile, 13 deaths due to Covid-19 were reported throughout Malaysia yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub portal, with Selangor and Kuala Lumpur reporting the most cases with three each, followed by Kedah and Perak with two each, and Melaka, Pahang, and Penang with one each.
