In Malaysia, about 35% of children have gotten their first dose.

As of yesterday, 1,272,121 children aged five to eleven, or 35.8% of the country’s population, had received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids).

According to the CovidNOW website, a total of 2,845,415 people, or 91.5 percent of the population, have finished the Covid-19 immunisation, and 2,943,210 people, or 94.6 percent of the population, have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 15,530,830 adults, or 66% of the adult population, have gotten the Covid-19 booster dose, and a total of 22,945,101 adults, or 97.5 percent of the adult population, have been fully vaccinated, with 23,221,040 adults, or 98.7%, having received at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 28,377 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 5,645 being the first dose, 1,357 being the second dose, and 21,375 being the booster dosage, bringing the total vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,546,897.

Meanwhile, 73 deaths related to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, with Perak having the most cases (19), followed by Selangor and Johor, each with 11 cases.

Nine cases were reported in Kedah, eight in Penang, three each in Kelantan, Melaka, Sabah, and Terengganu, and one each in Negri Sembilan, Perlis, and Sarawak.
