In Malaysia, about 1.3 million children have received their first dose of vaccination.

About 1.3 million children have received their first dose.

As of yesterday, 1,374,520 children aged five to eleven years had received at least one dose of vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids), accounting for 38.7% of the population in this age range.

According to the CovidNow website, 229,615 children, or 6.5% of the total, have received all of their vaccinations.

2,865,407, or 92.1 percent, of teens aged 12 to 17 have finished their immunisation, while 2,967,575, or 95.4 percent, have received at least one dose.

15,950,859 people, or 67.8% of the adult population, have received the booster shot, while 22,959,339 people, or 97.6%, have completed their second dosage and 23,236,086 people, or 98.8%, have received at least one jab.

Yesterday, 47,622 vaccine doses were given out, including 34,384 doses for the second injection, 7,639 booster jabs, and 5,599 doses for the first shot, increasing the total number of doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 69,370,702.

According to the Health Ministry’s GitHub portal, 22 people died as a result of COVID-19 yesterday, with Selangor having the most mortality with seven, Melaka having three, and Perak having three apiece.

Johor, Kedah, and Pahang each had two fatalities, while Sabah, Kelantan, and Kuala Lumpur each had one.
