More than 1.17 million children have been fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, 1,171,888 children, or 33% of the country’s children aged five to eleven, had finished the immunisation under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids).
According to the CovidNow website, 1,720,411 children (or 48.4% of the total) have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 2,913,596 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have completed the Covid-19 immunisation, accounting for 93.6 percent of those in this age range in the country, while 3,010,184 adolescents have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 96.7 percent.
In the adult population, 16,096,363 people (68.4%) have gotten the booster dose, while 22,974,497 people (97.6%) have finished two doses of the vaccination and 23,251,151 people (98.8%) have received at least one dose.
A total of 10,803 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 5,322 being the first dose, 3,491 being the second dose, and 1,990 being the booster dosage, bringing the total number of vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,923,930.
Meanwhile, four deaths due to Covid-19 were reported in Malaysia yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s Github portal, with two incidents in Kedah and one each in Melaka and Negri Sembilan.
