PKNS handed over 800 keys to the owners of Residensi Idaman Selangorku.

The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) today handed over keys to 864 residents of Residensi Idaman Selangorku’s Type D housing in Cyberjaya’s Selangor Cyber Valley.

The project, which supports the National Affordable Housing Policy, is an endeavour, according to its chief executive Datuk Mahmud Abbas, to address the nation’s housing affordability challenges holistically.

Residensi Idaman Selangorku has gone beyond mere building and mortar in order to assist the B40 community in Selangor in settling into their own homes. Many factors were considered in order to develop a cohesive community and an inclusive living environment with amenities and facilities to improve the residents’ well-being.

Each unit features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two parking lots, and a nice built-up area of 1,000 sq ft. It is priced at RM230,000.

Rodziah Ismail, Selangor state executive councillor for Housing, Urban Wellbeing, and Entrepreneurs Development, officiated the key passing ceremony today, saying the residence is one of the state government’s many attempts to address the cheap housing issue.

For many people, owning a home is a difficulty, with housing affordability being the primary concern. In order to promote a competitive economy, the Selangor State Government has implemented a number of programmes to provide and increase access to cheap housing.

The Type D complex also caters to residents with disabilities, with four units designed with wheelchair-friendly platforms throughout for easy access.

The 14.41-acre development boasts outstanding logistic infrastructure, with easy access to the Expressway Lingkaran Tengah (ELITE), Putrajaya Link, and South Klang Valley (SKVE) Highways. It is conveniently positioned near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
