If a driver who graduated from a driving school commits frequent traffic violations, the license of the driving school concerned may be revoked!

According to a message from the Director General of the National Land Transport Authority (JPJ), Dato’ Zelani Hahim, the Authority will track drivers involved in traffic accidents and violations, and if the drivers involved are found to be from the same driving school, the license of the relevant driving school may be revoked.

The Land Transport Authority will inject a code into the driver’s license so that it can identify the driver’s license holder from which driving school to obtain a license. The new measure is still under discussion and will be included in the electronic testing system on April 1, 2022.

Under the Institute of Motoring Regulations 1992 and Regulation 28 of the Motor Vehicle Regulations 1992 (Institute of Motoring), the Institute of Motoring Licensing Board has the authority to take action to suspend or revoke the license of an Institute of Motoring and revoke the licenses of some unqualified instructors.

Currently, there are about 15,069 persons holding Spim licenses in Malaysia.
