Dear Debit Cardholders, do you know that your Debit Card also has an expiration date? You need to replace the Debit Card before the deadline, otherwise, you will be unable to withdraw money and swipe your card after the expiry date.
To know the expiration date of your Debit Card, you only need to look at the front of the Debit Card, and you will see the Valid Thru and a 4-digit number, such as 12/21 or 07/22. 12/21 means it will expire in December 2021, while 07/22 it will expire in July 2022.
If you are the holder of the Maybank Debit Card, you can go to the nearby Maybank branch to replace the Debit Card, and you can also replace it directly online. After you choose to replace the Debit Card online, the bank will mail the new Debit Card to your designated address within a few working days.
After receiving the new Debit Card, you can activate the new Debit Card through Maybank ATM or Maybank2u. There is no handling fee for replacing a Debit Card that is about to expire, but if you replace the Debit Card in advance or need to replace the Debit Card for other reasons, you will have to pay a handling fee of RM12.
How to replace Debit Card through Maybank2u
Step 1: Browse and log in to the Maybank2u website.
Step 2: Click Settings, and then select CARDS.
Step 3: Select Manage Debit Cards
Step 4: Click Replace Card of Debit-Cards-Replace, Activate & Block.
Step 6: After completing the verification, you can receive the new Debit Card within a few working days.
