How to place an online bid for a licence plate number starting from RM300.
The Malaysian Ministry of Transport has introduced an online licence plate auction system that lets the general public place bids for desired licence plate numbers.
The majority of the letters and digits on a Malaysian licence plate are letters, with different letters for each state, such as Selangor being a B, Johor a J, Penang a P, and so forth.
The electronic bidding licence plate system is quite easy to use. You must first create an account on the system. You can enter your ID number and confirm reCAPTCHA at https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my/ebid/profile/signup.
You can select Daftar Masuk after completing the account registration at https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my/ebid/login.
Your content goes here. Edit or remove this text inline or in the module Content settings. You can also style every aspect of this content in the module Design settings and even apply custom CSS to this text in the module Advanced settings. Choose the licence plate number you like, then finish the credit card transaction.
However, it’s crucial to remember that while businesses can bid for up to 5 licence plates, individuals can only successfully bid for a maximum of 3 licence plates. Currently, you can only apply for special licence plates online, while you must visit a nearby JPJ to apply in person or use mySIKAP to apply for regular licence plates.
There is no requirement to visit a specific state’s Land Transport Department (JPJ) office in order to submit a bid form when using the e-bidding licence plate system.
