According to Maybank (Maybank), Maybank Debit Card cardholders must first activate the overseas cash withdrawal service before they can withdraw cash from overseas ATMs.
Cardholders can activate the overseas cash withdrawal service online by logging into Maybank2u, going to Settings, and then selecting the bank card to enable overseas cash withdrawal. Then, in the Manage Debit Cards column, select Overseas Debit Card Activation.
Special attention should be paid to the fact that ATMs in some countries may require cardholders to go through a series of verification procedures when withdrawing money. The bank will charge relevant exchange rate charges based on the exchange rate provided on the day.
