A few years ago there was a domestic story of a fake tow truck operator. Two men disguised as outsourced tow truck operators from a bank were about to tow away a Chinese woman’s car. In order to avoid similar incidents, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs issued a reminder to the public at that time about the procedures for legal towing.
According to the news released by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, tow truck operators will not be able to tow under four conditions.
The first situation is between 9:00 pm and 8:59 am, tow truck operators will not be able to tow.
In the second case, the vehicle is parked in a fenced home, unless the tow truck operator obtains a court order, as this is a private space.
The third situation is when the car loan is more than 75% amortized， unless a court order is issued.
In the fourth case, the tow truck operator must present a court order or Permit EPS or the tow truck will not be allowed to tow.
