A few months ago, a part-timer with a monthly salary of RM1,500 found out that after purchasing the new Perodua Alza, he would have to pay about RM900 per month in installments, so he posted on the internet asking for tips on how to save money. So how much monthly salary is suitable to buy the new Perodua Alza?
The new Perodua Alza is available in 3 trim levels, 1.5X, 1.5H and 1.5AV, which are priced at RM62,500, RM68,000 and RM75,500 respectively before car insurance is included, 373.27.
With a 10% down payment or 90% loan, the entry level Perodua Alza 1.5X with a 7-year loan would cost approximately RM811 per month and a 9-year loan would cost approximately RM658 per month.
For the standard Perodua Alza 1.5H, a loan of RM888 per month for 7 years and RM721 per month for 9 years would be required, while for the Premium 1.5AV, a loan of RM979 per month for 7 years and RM795 per month for 9 years would be required.
Perodua Alza needs to be serviced every 10,000 kilometers and the maintenance fee ranges from RM186.40 to RM633.61. The price is for reference only and the actual maintenance fee will be adjusted according to the actual condition of the car.
For a single person, you need to earn at least RM2,700 per month to be able to pay for the car loan in Perodua Alza. Generally speaking, it is best not to spend more than 50% of your monthly salary on car loan installments, but ideally, the installments should not exceed 30% of your monthly salary.
