How much extra will Perodua owners have to pay when the government reimposes sales tax on cars?

70% of car orders will not be delivered to customers by June 30!

 

According to the news issued by the General Chamber of Motor Industry of Malaysia, the global supply chain is still tight and the severe shortage of on-board chips has resulted in fewer vehicles, and many customers who have placed orders may not be able to successfully deliver their cars by June 30.

 

Do you know how much Perodua’s vehicles will increase after the reintroduction of sales tax (SST) on locally assembled and fully assembled imported vehicles after June 30?

 

The government has implemented the sales tax exemption for cars from June 2020, the price difference between Perodua Axia is RM700 to RM1700 before and after the sales tax exemption, while the price difference between Perodua Bezza is RM1100 to RM1600 before and after the sales tax exemption.

As for Perodua Myvi, the difference is between RM1500 and RM1900 before and after the sales tax exemption, and between RM4300 and RM4700 for Perodua Aruz.

 

The above prices are before and after June 2020 and are for reference only, Perodua will not announce the latest price list after the reintroduction of sales tax until after June 30, 2022.
