Hong Leong Bank will be closing and relocating 2 branches in Penang in October, according to a news release from the bank. The closure of these branches has been approved by the National Bank and the operations will be relocated to other branches.
The operations of Hong Leong Bank’s branch in Sungai Dua, North Sea, Penang will be relocated to the branch in Jalan Ong Yi How, North Sea, Penang and the last day of operation of the Sungai Dua branch will be Friday, 7 October 2022.
For the convenience of the local community in withdrawing money and handling banking transactions, Hong Leong Bank has installed a self-service kiosk (CRT) at the 7-Eleven in Taman Desa Murni, which is only 38 metres away from the closed branch.
As for the Bank’s branch in Balik Pulau, Pulau Pinang, it will relocate its operations to its branch in Batu Pahat, Penang, and the last day of operation for Bank Balik Pulau will be Friday, 21 October 2022.
The bank has also installed self-service kiosks at Happy Mart, 92 metres away from the Bank.
The closure of the Bank’s branch in Ukay Perdana, Ampang, Selangor, which was originally scheduled to close in October, has been postponed until further notice. Hong Leong Bank has also installed kiosks at the 7-Eleven 15 metres away.
