Customers who have placed orders for new Honda vehicles may not be able to get their new vehicles by June 30!

Honda Malaysia (Honda) has issued a statement noting that the global shortage of on-board chips and the coronary heart disease epidemic have caused shortages and delays in the supply of car parts, which has also affected the production line for new vehicles. Honda has experienced disruptions and instability in its vehicle production lines.

Honda Malaysia noted that customers who have placed orders may face delays in receiving their new vehicles, although the exact details will depend on the model and type of vehicle purchased by the customer. The shortage of new vehicle production may also result in customers not receiving their new vehicles within the sales tax exemption period.

The government’s sales tax exemption will end on 30 June 2022 and there is no intention to extend the exemption. This also means that the price of cars will increase from July 1.

Honda Malaysia said it will do its best to expand production of the new cars and deliver them to customers who have placed orders in the shortest possible time.

If you have placed an order for a new Honda car, be prepared that you will not be able to get your new car before 30 June.
