Bukit Gasing located in Petaling Jaya will officially reopen on 16 October for those that have been fully vaccinated.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the popular hiking trail in Bukit Gasing will be reopen to public starting 16 Oct (confirms the Petaling Jaya City Council – MBPJ).
However, the council said only individuals who were fully vaccinated would be allowed to hike there. They must scan’s QC code using MySejahtera before entering and also ensure to maintain their distance.
Friends of Bukit Gasing (FOBG) committee member Rajesh Mansukhla said he hoped MBPJ would station some officers at the entrance to ensure hikers following SOP. “I hope the public will practice their common sense and have judgement. If there are many people, it is advisable to not enter the hiking trail. “I hope the council will track the number of people.
“The hiking trail is narrow, and people do not wear masks while tracking the hill. I hope people will use their judgement before deciding to hike here. MBPJ as a governing body must also be strict with their enforcement at these popular recreational spots,” he added.
For individuals that are fully vaccinated, Bukit Gasing is now OPEN for you! Please ensure to adhere to SOP and take care of your safely and others while have fun.
