Many people have complained that after installing RFID tags on their cars, they still can’t pass the toll booths smoothly. This led them to reverse several times or use other lanes to pay the toll. If you are facing similar problems, you may have made 3 kinds of mistakes.
1. Insulation film factor
According to TNG RFID, heat shielding film with metal content may affect the reading of RFID tags. If you install a metal-based heat shield on your car’s windshield, the metal content may interfere with RFID Tag reading.
2. Insufficient distance from the bodywork
RFID Tag must be kept at least 5cm away from the metal body, this is to avoid the metal body to affect the RFID Tag reading. If you install the RFID Tag too close to the metal body, then you may face problems in paying the toll.
3. RFIG Tag appears broken
Make sure that the RFID Tag does not appear broken. However, in general RFID tags do not have breakage problems. According to the information issued by the relevant authorities, RFID Tag has a 5-year service life, can withstand high temperatures and rain.
If you continue to face the problem of not being able to read the RFID Tag, you can go to the nearest RFID TFitment Centres for checking.
