22/03/2022

Is your BKM application being rejected? You can file an appeal from May 2.

The BKM will be distributed beginning March 28, and those whose applications have been denied will have until May 2 to appeal.

The BKM is a government-sponsored programme that aims to help low-income people lower their living expenses. BKM is available to families with a monthly income of less than RM5,000 and single people with a monthly income of less than RM2,500.

From March 28 to April 8, the BKM will be distributed directly to beneficiaries by bank remittance, and recipients can check their bank accounts starting on March 28. Those who do not have a bank account can receive the BKM in cash at BSN Bank starting March 30.

If your BKM application is denied, you have until May 2 to file an appeal. The appeal time for BKM aid will be extended for another month. The public can file an appeal directly through the BKM website, and they must include all pertinent facts.

If your application is denied because your income is ineligible, you can send your paystub to LHDN. If your application is refused because your spouse’s information is missing, you can submit a marriage certificate as well as a copy of your spouse’s MyKad.
