At present, all states in the country (except Sarawak) have implemented the Movement Control Order (MCO) until February 18th. If the government does not announce an extension of the MCO, it will be lifted after February 18th.
It is reported that the government may announce that states with lower new cases will be replaced with conditional movement control order (CMCO). These states may be Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis and Labuan. The government may also allow people from these states to have inter-state travel.
There are still more than 1,000 new confirmed cases in Klang Valley every day, so it is very likely that the MCO will be extended for another 14 days, which is until March 4th at this area.
Minister of Defense Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri will hold a press conference at around 5pm today to make the official announcement.
