Generally, bank deposits that have been inactive for more than seven years will be classified as unclaimed.
You can find out through the electronic Government Unclaimed Money Information System (eGUMIS), which is designed to make it easier for the public, especially in rural areas, to check their unclaimed money online.
If you find that you have unclaimed money, you can claim it at the Jabatan Akauntan Negara with the relevant documentation.
Step 1: Visit & Register

Step 2: Once you have completed your account registration, login
https://egumis.anm.gov.my/login
Step 3: Click on Carian Wang Tak Dituntut in the left column, enter your IC number and click on Cari.
Step 4: The system will show you if you have any unclaimed monies.
Step 5: If you find an unclaimed money, download the form and go to Jabatan Akauntan Negara to claim the amount.
