The government announced that domestic telecommunications companies will launch a prepaid Internet solidarity package.
According to Minister of Digital Communications Fahmy, the government and several telecommunications companies in the country are working together to launch a prepaid Internet solidarity package, which will be officially launched from February 2023.
The prepaid internet unity package (Pakej Perpaduan Prabayar) costs RM30, is valid for 6 months and provides 30GB of internet data with a speed limit of 3Mbps, which means that the average user can get 5GB of internet data for only RM5 per month.
After subscribing to the Prepaid Internet Unite package, subscribers can use 30GB of Internet data for 6 months or 180 days without worrying about running out of Internet data and expiring. This package is very useful for people who normally have WiFi at home and in the office, using WiFi at home and in the office, and only using the mobile network to access the Internet when they are out and about.
The package will be open to the B40 low-income group, the elderly, the physically challenged (OKU), and veterans and police veterans. Participating telecommunications companies include Celcom-Digi, Maxis, U Mobile, TM and YTL Yes.
