Traffic summon discount offer has received an overwhelming response and the police have decided to extend the traffic ticket discount offer until December 31. Originally, this offer would have ended on December 12.
Since the police introduced the traffic ticket discount of up to 80 percent on December 9, a large number of people have appeared at traffic police counters across the country, with some even lining up outside the road. The traffic police department’s MyBayar Saman online payment system has also been down several times since Dec. 9.
To allow more people to pay their outstanding traffic summons, police decided to extend the 80 percent discount on traffic summon until Dec. 31, 2021. During this period, people can continue to pay their outstanding summon through the traffic police counter and MyBayar Saman online system.
From December 9 to 12, police have processed 2.3 million traffic tickets involving a total of RM109 million.
