Good news! The government of Selangor is expanding the number of families eligible for free water.
Good news! The state of Selangor has increased the range of eligible families for free water, so now households with a monthly income of RM5,000 can also take use of this benefit.
Families with a monthly income of RM5,000 are also eligible for free water, according to a statement from Selangor State Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin Amirudin. An additional 100,000 families will benefit from this improvement.
The Selangor state government agreed to increase the scope of beneficiary households so that families with a monthly income of RM5,000 can also receive free water. Previously, the requirement for free water was those families with a monthly income of not more than RM4,000.
The first 20 cubic metres of free water will be given to beneficiaries of the Skim Air Darul Ehsan free water programme in Selangor.
In October 2022, the Skim Air Darul Ehsan application will reopen. Two methods exist for applying.
The first method of application is online. You can create an account at https://ssipr-daftar.selangor.gov.my/register and select to apply for Skim Air Darul Ehsan there.
The second approach entails using a paper form, filling it out, and delivering it to an Air Selangor office or a Social Service Center (Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat). The application form is also available for download at https://www.airselangor.com/residential/skim-air-darul-ehsan/. After filling it out, email it to [email protected].
The following people are eligible for the Selangor Free Water Program:
1. Applicants must be citizens of Malaysia and residents of Selangor
2. Monthly household income of less than RM 5000. (including spouse income, single person)
3. Low-cost HDB households may also apply, but they must have their applications approved by the Joint Management Body (JMB) or the Management Committee (MC)
