Good news! Flood victims can enjoy a 100% discount on electricity bills!!
According to a message issued by Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri, households affected by the flood will enjoy a 100% discount on electricity bills. The rebate is only limited to electricity bills in December. It is estimated that there will be 72,000 households will get this benefit.
However, it is important to note that the disaster victims still need to pay the electricity bill for December, but TNB will give a rebate. TNB will also conduct free wire inspections for the disaster to avoid electric shocks caused by damaged wires after the flood.
According to the information issued by TNB, the electricity supply in 171 areas in Selangor has been restored, and the electricity supply in 480 areas in Pahang has also been restored. As for the electricity supply in 25 districts in Negeri Sembilan and 118 districts in Kuala Lumpur, the electricity supply has been restored.
If the flood in your area has subsided, but the electricity supply has not been restored, it may be that the substation has not been repaired or has not yet resumed operation.
