According to information released by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, the second phase of BKM will begin on Monday, June 27, 2022, and will last until July 7, 2022.
This time, 8.6 million people are eligible for BKM assistance, including 4 million families with a monthly income of less than RM5,000, 1.2 million widowed and single seniors with a monthly income of less than RM5,000, and 3.4 million. Singles with a monthly income of less than RM2,500.
Because there are too many beneficiaries, BKM assistance will be distributed in stages, with family groups receiving assistance first, followed by singles. From June 27 to July 5, the entire aid disbursement process will take nine days.
