Members can withdraw up to RM10,000 and a minimum of RM50, however they must first use up their savings value in Account 2 before they can access their savings in Account 1. More information will be available soon.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said today at a special press conference that the government is enabling the extraordinary EPF withdrawal facility to help Keluarga Malaysia still impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Since the pandemic two years ago, the government had previously approved three withdrawal facilities, namely i-Lestari, i-Sinar, and i-Citra, which totaled RM101 billion and involved 7.34 million participants.
Pre-retirement withdrawals were established as a temporary remedy to assist members affected by movement control orders as a result of the epidemic.
