Are you unhappy by the city’s heat and stress? Feel your worries melt away when you visit this Pahang resort.
Sometimes the stress of living in a city can become too much to handle, especially when combined with the heat and humidity. Fraser’s Hill is a great place to go if you want a short vacation that won’t break your wallet.
This well-known tourist destination in Pahang offers a wide range of nature-themed activities, making it the ideal place for guests to spend a weekend away from the bustle of daily life and revel in the peaceful environment.
And it’s not just a must-visit for fans of the great outdoors; bird lovers, in particular, will get a kick out of the things to do here.
With over 250 species, this paradise in the highlands is often regarded as the best place in the area to go bird watching. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that this year was the 34th time the bird race was held in this location.
Birdlife International Asia Council South East Asia vice-chairman Henry Goh said, “We were thrilled to welcome contestants from up to nine countries, including China, India, the Philippines, and more, to Fraser’s Hill this year.”
One Taiwanese competitor, who had asthma, talked about the benefits of birdwatching in her life.
Ann Huang praised the work done at Fraser’s Hill to preserve the natural habitat of the birds and said, “Ever since I became a national forest volunteer back home and got closer to nature through bird-watching and nature preservation, my condition improved significantly.”
Natthaphat Chotjuckdikul from Thailand also had positive things to say about Fraser’s Hill. “I like that they limit the number of buildings and conserve the forest here so well, contributing to the large number of birds that we can document,” she said.
So, if you’re a newcomer who’s intrigued by this avian activity, Fraser’s Hill is the perfect spot to start. But that’s not all!
