According to a release from Maybank, Maybank will enhance its security features so that users will be notified immediately if a transaction with their bank card fails or is declined.
Previously, users were notified via the Maybank2u MY APP or MAE when a transaction using their bank card was successful so that they would know immediately that their card had been used successfully.
From 11 April 2022, when a transaction is made using a bank card, even if the transaction is unsuccessful, users will be notified immediately via the Maybank2u MY APP or MAE so that they know immediately that their card has been declined.
This applies to Maybank debit, charge or credit cards and users will be informed via the Maybank2u MY APP or MAE of any failed transactions due to overdue cards, incorrectly entered CVV numbers or insufficient balances.
You can download the latest version of the Maybank2u MY APP and MAE and enable the notification function in the settings function of the APP.
