For all of you in the B40 low-income group, are you eligible for the Peka B40 free physical examination benefit?

Attention all B40 low income groups! Did you know that the government has introduced the Peka B40 Free Health Screening Benefit?

 

The government is launching several health care programs starting in 2019, and Peka B40 is one of the programs that the government is offering. Through the Peka B40 program, low-income groups will be able to enjoy free physical examinations and subsidies.

 

As long as you are a BSH recipient aged 40 or above, you and your spouse will automatically be entitled to Peka B40 benefits.

 

Through the PeKa B40 program, beneficiaries are entitled to four benefits, namely, free health screening, medical equipment and equipment assistance, cancer treatment completion subsidy and transportation subsidy.

 

To find out if you are a Peka B40 recipient, you can visit https://kelayakan.pekab40.com.my/semakan-kelayakan, enter your ID number and click on Semak. The system will show you if you are eligible.

Benefit 1: Free Health Screening

Health screening includes breast and prostate exams, blood tests, diabetes testing and control, cholesterol testing, urine testing, kidney testing, and mental health screening.

 

Benefit 2: Medical equipment and equipment assistance

Beneficiaries can receive medical equipment and equipment assistance, including heart stents, artificial joints, hearing aids, pacemakers, artificial bones, bone braces, intraocular lenses, respiratory therapy equipment and oxygen generators, nutritional support and tires.

 

Benefit 3: Cancer treatment subsidy

Patients who undergo cancer treatment in government hospitals will receive a subsidy of RM1000, which will be paid in stages according to the course of treatment.

 

Benefit 4: Transportation Subsidy

People who are receiving cancer treatment and medical equipment assistance are entitled to a transportation subsidy from the government. The maximum amount of transportation allowance per patient is RM500 in West Malaysia and RM1000 in East Malaysia.
