East Malaysia Ramadan fares reduced!
(Kuala Lumpur, 19 April) – Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong has announced that one-way economy class fares for flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah and Sarawak during the Eid period, i.e. between April 27 and May 8, have been reduced across the board!
He said that the price of Peninsular’s flight to Sabah and Sarawak has been reduced to a one-way economy class fare between RM105 and RM1,398, while the price of a one-way fare between April 29 and May 1 (peak period) is between RM195 and RM1,398.
He said this is the result of proactive measures taken by the Ministry of Transport with the Malaysian Aviation Commission and local airlines.
He said the Ministry of Transport is very concerned about the people’s complaints against the said airfares, which are expensive and burdensome to the people, many of whom are hoping to return home to their families after two years of the epidemic.
